Leptigen is a recently-released weight loss product that promises to boost your metabolism and thereby reduce your body fat percentage. Here’s our Leptigen review.
What is Leptigen?
Leptigen is a weight loss supplement that claims to offer a clinically-researched formula to give you safe, easy, and effective weight loss results.
The supplement combines a number of popular dietary ingredients into one supplement. Those dietary ingredients and formulas include Meratrim, ChromeMate, caffeine, and green tea extract.
By taking the supplement daily, you can complement a healthy diet and exercise routine and achieve your weight loss goals.
The supplement promises to provide all of the following benefits:
-Support accelerated fat loss
-Diminish weight loss plateaus
-Control blood sugar levels for optimum weight control
Basically, Leptigen will spike your metabolism, helping your body burn through calories more quickly. This should theoretically lead to less fat buildup and better weight loss results. Keep reading to find out how Leptigen actually works.
How Does Leptigen Work?
Priced at $110 per bottle (1 month supply), Leptigen is one of the priciest weight loss supplements available today.
But does it have the ingredients to back up this hefty price tag?
Leptigen claims to work using four different active ingredients and formulas. Here’s a brief overview of each ingredient:
Meratrim contains two ingredients: sphaeranthus indicus and garcinia mangostana. The first ingredient is a flower extract that has been used in traditional medicine to reduce stress, fight free radical damage, and reduce inflammation.
The second ingredient, garcinia mangostana, is a fruit extract traditionally used to treat mental illness, diarrhea, thrush, and urinary tract infections. Meratrim claims that by combining these two ingredients, it can promote natural weight loss.
As evidence of that fact, the creators of Leptigen cite a study where 100 participants took Meratrim while following a 2,000 calorie diet and a 30 minute exercise program five day a week. After 8 weeks on the program, “dieters reduced body weight and reduced BMI”.
The creators of Meratrim never get more specific about those study results: typically, when someone is exercising for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week and following a healthy, controlled diet, you can expect that person to lose weight and reduce their BMI. It would have been helpful to have a placebo group that did not take Leptigen. Thus, it’s tough to see if Meratrim actually works as promised.
It may sound more like a browser extension for Google’s web browser, but ChromeMate claims to offer substantial weight loss benefits.
ChromeMate, for example, claims to be a form of chromium that is specially designed to “control blood glucose levels and promote healthy cholesterol levels.” It’s a trademarked formula created by a pharmaceutical company named InterHealth. The formula uses a specific form of chromium named chromium polynicotinate.
To reinforce the benefits of ChromeMate, Leptigen links to this study. In that study, obese females took a chromium picolinate supplement. One group of these females took the supplement without exercise training and that group experienced “significant weight gain”.
Another group of obese females took the supplement in conjunction with exercise training. This resulted in “several potentially beneficial changes, including significant weight loss and a lower insulin response to an oral glucose load.”
Researchers concluded that a 400mg supplement of chromium picolinate is “more beneficial than exercising training alone” when you’re looking at weight loss in young, obese females.
The study – which is the only one linked by Leptigen – exclusively involved young, obese females. It’s unclear if ChromeMate would have the same effects when tested on other groups of people.
It’s also important to note that participants in the study who took ChromeMate without exercising actually gained weight. So if you decide to take Leptigen, you need to compliment it with a strong diet and exercise routine.
Caffeine is a popular ingredient in many diet pills and it has been repeatedly studied over the years. caffeine has been linked to better metabolism, better athletic performance, better cognitive functionality, and increased mood. All of these things are very helpful if you’re trying to lose weight.
Each capsule of Leptigen contains about the same caffeine you’d fine in a cup of coffee (75mg).
You’re expected to take two capsules of Leptigen daily to support your weight loss goals. If you’re caffeine-sensitive, then you may feel jittery from taking Leptigen every day, in which case you may want to reduce your dosage to one capsule per day.
Green Tea Extract
Green tea extract is a diverse compound that can be found in thousands of weight loss products. Its most valuable ingredient is EGCG, which acts as a powerful antioxidant and targets free radicals around your body.
The creators of Leptigen also claim that green tea promotes better blood glucose control. Better blood glucose control leads to fewer carb cravings.
The four ingredients mentioned above are the only active ingredients found within Leptigen.
The other four ingredients in the “Other Ingredients” section are simply used to make the capsule.
How to Use Leptigen
The manufacturer recommends taking one capsule of Leptigen twice daily, including once before breakfast and once again before lunch.
Some may want to take Leptigen before dinner – especially if you’re having a bigger dinner. However, if you’re sensitive to caffeine, then taking Leptigen too late in the day could cause you to stay up all night.

The manufacturer of Leptigen recommends that you avoid taking Leptigen if you have been treated for, diagnosed with, or are taking medication for any of the following conditions:
· High blood pressure

Leptigen is made by a company named Leptigen.
There’s very little information about that company available online. On the “Contact Us” page, Leptigen provides an email form, an email address (firstname.lastname@example.org), and a toll-free phone number (1-800-555-3951) you can use to get in touch with the company.
If you requested a Leptigen refund, then you can return it to the following Florida address:
4135 Laguna Street
Coral Gables, FL 33146
A quick Google Search for that address reveals that it has been used for a number of different businesses, including Trit Triton Web Properties and Bin27.com. Google Street View shows the address as a nondescript office building.
